If we can unlock DJ by next week, it should help set us up for a tremendous finish! When the project followers come back during the last 48 hours, if they see a free added 9th character, how could they NOT back this amazing game?
Not to mention, we are now planning a TENTH CHARACTER for our 220k stretch goal! We have a few different ideas for this character, so please vote on what you would like!
A: The Chef - A master of temperature who can summon Ice AND Fire.
B: The Cosplayer - A professional costumer that can mimic the powers of her opponent.
C: The Composer - A passionate director of living instruments and flying sheet music.
D: The Photographer - Not all photographs can steal your soul, but hers just might.

Social Stretch Goals!!!
There's been a TON of great suggestions for additional stretch goals, but since many of these are component upgrades or add-on offerings, we want to save our 40k stretch goals for BIG upgrades. Therefore, I'll be adding some social stretch goals to unlock some of these wonderful ideas! Check back tomorrow for the update with all of the social stretch goals!!!
Balance updates and Playtesting Info

After doing a lot of internal playtesting and observing playtest sessions with new players, we've decided to make a few balance changes!
Calligrapher, Sculptor, and Tagger are not changing.
Dancer is getting a slight buff by starting the game with 1 Scale token in each of the 3 spaces adjacent to him at the start of the game. This allows Converging step to be online from the start of the game, preventhing him from being too powerless on turn 1 if he goes second.
Painter is getting a slight buff in a rework by removing inspiration tokens entirely and gaining 3 additional dice. Now she'll have 8 total dice instead of 5, and anything you would spend Inspiration tokens on now just costs any 1 dice. This will overall give her a bit more consistency, but really this streamlines her gameplay loop to be alot more fun and all about rolling dice.
Animator is getting a slightly larger rework. Instead of a stack of frame tokens, he now lays out all of his tokens in a row to form a track and plays them from left to right. Throwing frame is also being reworked to be alot easier to use but no longer deals damage. 12 and 24 fps summons are also getting slightly reworked to not require you to have both of them at once to use their reactions.
We are also adding an "Internal Testing Only!!!" tab for Screen top. This will contain Fortune Teller, Tattooist, as well as Storyteller and DJ as we wrap up finalizing their kits. This is about the 7th iteration of these characters, and while we are always confident in each iteration being fun to play, we are not confident that they are fully balanced and also offer a smooth playing experience, but since people are curious about how they will work, feel free to take a peak behind the curtains.
These changes are now live on Screentop, and RexmexFG will be making them live on Tabletop Simulator this week.

If you are an EU or UK customer, this means VAT will be collected via pledge manager, and your games will be shipped directly to your doorstep from the Spiral Galaxy Games fulfillment center without the need to wrangle with any post offices.
If you are an AUS customer, this means your shipping prices will now be cheaper.

THE VOTES HAVE BEEN COUNTED!
After after what seemed like an early lead for Design C, B ended up winning the race in the end.
With that, Design B will be fleshed out and turned into a Kickstarter Exclusive playmat and will be included with all Deluxe and Collector's pledges!
However, with how popular design C was, we will be fleshing it out to create the tournament prize playmats for the year of 2023! We plan on holding at least 3 tournaments in 2023:
March 2023 on the Brother Ming Discord channel
August 2023 at Gen Con
December 2023 at Pax Unplugged
These mats can only be obtained via the tournaments! We will also sell "tournament support kits" with these prize mats for groups willing to host their own local tournaments.
This design will be printed on two 14x28 inch playmats and replaces the "Any 2 Playmats" reward in the deluxe and collector's tiers!
This design will be turned into a Tournament Prize Mat given exclusively to tournament winners during 2023 tournaments! We will sell them to groups willing to host tournaments in a tournament kit as well.
